I'm looking to add another food for my tank.
I've been getting pushed by LFS to NutraMar.
Anyone used this? How is it appreciated by our tenants?
Is it a liquid once defrosted? Do fish like it or is more for corals?

I currently feed Ocean Nutrition Flakes, Frozen Formula 1 (which is floating?)
Frozen Brine or Mysis and Danichi Algae Pellets with Cyclopeeze.
Pinch of flakes in A.M. and a mixture of frozen in P.M.
Danichi pellets every few days. Oh...and I also put a small piece of
Nori every 3 days too. (Phyto drop once a week)
Feedback and Suggestions greatly appreciated!

I use it for my Mandarin. I have to put it in a mason jar and then lower the jar to the bottom of the tank so he can get to it. Otherwise they would just get dispersed amongst the tank and he would never get any.

My Lyretail anthias will eat them as well, but the particle size if way to small for anything else aside from SPS Corals to eat.

It's not liquid. Its frozen Prawn Eggs.

If you target feed your SPS then I would try it out I suppose. It is expensive though. For the fish you have listed I don't see a point in dropping the money on OVA.

Look into New Life Spectrum Thera A Pellets. I think you will get much more benefit adding that into your feeding schedule than the Ova.

I know many people who feed Thera Pellets exclusively and have beautifully colored fish. I mix them in with a home-made frozen mix I feed.

Thanks much my fellow NYer!
I will look in the pellets!
Its not always an easy task to find food everyone will like, is full
of the proper nutrients and tasty too!!
Thanks again!

Which LFS has the Nutramar? I can't find it around Rochester and want to try it on my Mandarin. He eats enriched brine shrimp, but I'd like to try something more nutritious.

Hiya EllieSuz! LOVE the pic! :)

Eddies Aquarium in Cohoes has it. They might have it on their website.
If not, give them a call, they will ship it to you.

Edit:
Just to let you know...they are getting ready to be MAC certified! :)

I did a bag of ova. Never noticed any corals or fish acting differently or going after it specifically.

This is one of my main foods and the only one my dragon faced pipefish will eat with gusto. All my fish love it including my dragonets, pipefish and rainford's goby. It's a little glob of eggs once defrosted. Try some. It ain't gonna kill ya! :)
