Should I run a DSB in my refugium to match my DSB in my main display? Pros? Cons?

If you already have a DSB in your tank you don't need it. Sometimes people have a big fuge and they might put a lot of extra rock in there to give added filtration. But it's not "necessary" even though more DSB might add a little more filtration.. it's really just more work. One more thing you gotta clean. One more thing that can be a mess... end up in other parts of your sump, etc. Just put some cheato in there, optional sponges/rocks.

When you set up a tank you get into this... I wanna do everything to maximize it as possible. I ended up putting 50/50 sand/mud in my fuge and it's just a big mess now. Totally unnecessary too.

I would google deep sand beds and you should get hits on a couple of really good articles, Anthony Calpho wrote on Deep sand beds, especially remote deep sand beds, he is a real proponate of the deep stand bed for denitrification.
