If you are that desperate you can go to the grocery store and buy some RO by the gallon or your LFS could sell it to you.

I have an RO for sale in a thread right below this one. Buy it, and I'll throw in four 5 gallon containers for storage.

....and a 3/4 full bucket of Brightwell salt

I would just do this as well..... In the end you'll save time and money anyway.

You should just be able to screw it directly on to the faucet, unless you have one of those fancy dual action ones. It screws on just like a hose would.

no its a regular faucet i thought with RO systems it was much more then that are you sure cuz my buddy did it and he had to hook it up to a water line?!?! if thats the case can you send me pics and ill deff consider it

Hooking it up to the faucet is no different than hooking it to a water line, you just have to open the faucet for the water to come out. Then just push the waste water down the drain, and the RO/DI water into a container and you're done.

It doesnt need to be anything crazy at all.

Yup, Just like that. Hook it up in 10 seconds to make water, then unscrew it and put it in the closet until next time. Sorry, I don't have pics.

I have 3 water containers and a few buckets if you want to run to the grocery store. I think its 20 or 25 cents per gallon.

Bite the bullet if you can afford it and get a Ro system. Super easy to install under the kitchen sink.

I live (( rent )) in a townhouse and didn't want to hook up to the pipes, so I just hook it up to the kitchen sink, been doing that for years -- works great.

Will end up looking like this,

You better check with the Lease/Landlord too and make sure you can have an aquarium and you live on the first floor.
