Can anyone tell me how much gph is needed to run through the BRS GFO/carbon reactor? I know they take different levels of flow, but I was wondering if someone could give me an estimated value for running them both?

I have a small pump hooked up to mine, I think the pump is 350 GPH, but I don't know the GPH that is really going thru the reactor. I have it adjusted so that the GFO and carbon have just a little bounce on the top layer.

Thanks. I would like to get a single return pump I can use to power a reactor as well as returning water to my display tank from the sump. This will give me an idea of how much gph I need.

The BRS site says run it with a Maxijet 1200.

good catch. somehow I missed that
The type and amount of media used will change the GPH needs. You need to fill with media and adjust until the very top 1/2" just starts to "boil" and back off a little.
I also pack my carbon (second chamber) like you would DI resin so that I only have to worry about my GFO tumbling speed.
