These are the pics of my Joculator pair. Female is about 3months old. Male is added yesterday, however it thriving in other ppl tank for about 2 years before selling it to me. I notice that male Jocs tends to be longer therefore sized bigger, gill spine is longer and has bluish pattern on end of dorsal fin. My female is rather established and commanding a harem of flame angel including the alpha male.

Enjoy the pics folks

Very nice  It seems that jocs can be quite dominant in a tank ;)

stunreefer: thanks alot! Absolutely love Jocs

mpoletti: Ur joculators are an inspiration to me. Yes they can be rather dominating especially towards other dwarfies due to their size.

Sorry bros for those who can't view the pic. I actually linked it from Singapore Reef Club. You guys can view the pics there as well.

Sheol: They are nothing like bi-colours. Their colours are stunning, have interesting behavior and most important of all, many more times hardier than a bi-colour:fun2::fun2::fun2:

Thanks. Sanjay and my friend Stacie were the people that led me down this path and I thank them almost every day :p

What other pygmies do you have with them?

Congrats. How big? I have been waiting for a small pair to swim into my laps for a couple of yrs now. I really think they are distinctive and nowhere like the bicolors. Don't get me wrong, bicolors are beautiful in its own ways too and would jump on small pair as well. Hopefully, this year something will come.

Male is about 4 inches, female is about 3. Bi-colours are awesome but nowhere as hardy and as "reef-safe" as a Joc would be.:)

I have tried many centropyge before and almost all except for the lemon peel nips on corals. In addition, I believe that zoas are some of the more distasteful corals around thus not many fishes will touch them.

Your fish are so much more yellow as compared to my pair of joculators. Mine are on the yellowish orange side. Will post pics later when I get home.

Centropyge don't seem bothered by the toxins in Zoas, they eat them with relish. Must be an adaptation.
Interestingly, Lemonpeels are notorios for nipping all sorts of coral & clams as well. Most destructive Centropyge of the bunch! Just goes to show what we always say, each fish is different!

Sanjay, I found out that my Jocs are more yellow than the Jocs I see such as yours and Mpoletti. Could it be due to geographical reason? I suppose its rather unlikely as Jocs are only found in 2 keelings island. However, I do know that they can occasionally be found in Christmas Island. Is it also true that they is only one guy collecting this fish.

Looking forward to your pics.

I don't know. I nv had centropyge that ate my zoos before, not even the hybrid lemon peel I used to had(it went for everything else). I had clams that my flame and Jocs don't even bother.

I kept Flames, coral beauty, multi colour, hybrid lemon peel, Jocs, argi, acanthops, autonotus and even rusty throughout the course of this hobbie and only the hybrid lemon peel gave problem.

PS:I do know that I had a Red sea and Indian Ocean regal that went for zoos with gusto:D:D:D:D
