I just bought this Hippo Tang last Wednesday.
This poped up on its rear fins on Thursday.
Does anyone know what this might be and how to treat it? It does not see to affect it yet. It is swimming fine and eating like a pig.
Thank you.

Wow, I've never seen that and dont know how to treat for it. It looks like blisters.

It's tail also doesnt look very good, white splotches and it's kind of ragged.

The tail is fine. Not sure why the picture looks like that. It's just the "blisters" that I am worried about.

I've seen some sort of bacterial infection kill a fish I had a while back. It just appeared to eat away the tail very quickly. The second time I saw it I used pimafix melafix combination and it seemed to do the trick. I can't be sure if it is the same thing, but just wanted to offer a suggestion if it gets bad.

Thanks Ed.
Funny thing is that last night I was looking through my magazines and came across that same medication and thought that I need to get that, then I read your message this morning.

I hope your fish improves, let us know how you treat and how it turns out.
