These guys are straight from Taiwan. I have 3 new bluelines that I will attempt to create a "crew" with my japanese blueline.

Here is a picture of the 2 that paired up, but I need to QT separately...the 3rd is a little terror right now.

Enjoy!

Here are all three in a 10g when they came in

Awesome. One of mine is a lil terror as well, they are currently in a 20 gallon seperated by egg crate until they decide to play nice.

LOL Stacie! I hear you...I put them in the 10g to acclimate and one litterally clamped onto the others tail like a cat...I have never seen a fish do that before...

I will remove the barrier in around 3-4 weeks to see how they get along...

Is it me or are these Taiwanese even more awaesome than the Japanese ones? Didn't you have 3 Japanese Bluelines?

Wow, no idea you going to do a harem of 4 bluelines! Yes you are the man!

Don't be surprised if the Japanese blueline is dominant over the Taiwanese :p

The taiwanese versions are very very nice, but the fact that the face of the Japanese continues the straight lines from the body makes it that much more perfect. If you look at the picture above you can cleanly follow the lines through the snout of the Japanese specimen. The taiwanese facail markings get jumbled up and make a mask of blue spots.

Also the body coloration of the japanese is a deeper yellowish orange...the taiwanese specimen are yellow.

I originally brought in 3 japanese bluelines...only 2 survived...Cantonese got the other one :)

Agree.

I did not realize this before that there is a difference between the two bluelines. Just thought they were just at a certain phase. Thanks for bringing it to light. Very beautiful fish and good luck. When are we going to get a full tank shot?

Very nice Chris. I'm going to attempt to wrestle in a small orangeface (or as I prefer to call it septentrionalis hybrid) with my bluelines... if I get the nerve to after quarantine...

We have Rob confusion. You posted about one Rob (me) and Chris was referring to a different Rob (not in CO). Glad the fish continues to do well for you. :)

This one is gorgeous... and about three inches like the other bluelines coming in but the bluelines only cover the front half of the body... :)
