I have a 125 gallon tank with 50 gallon sump Lighted by the following:
3-14k 250watt MH
4-80 watt t-5's:
3 aquablue+ and 1 fiji
Is this too much light?
I have lots of sps and chalices

I would say no it is not too much light.
Why, are you having a problem?

some corals are bleaching out! Just installed the t-5's a week ago

Back off on the T5 photoperiod - that's why you have the bleaching.

Not "too much light" but too much additional light that your corals need time to acclimate to.

Cut the T5s down to 2 hrs / day for next 2 weeks; then Add 1 hr / day per week - until you get to 8 hrs / day, or however long you want to have the T5s running

Keep the MHs on the same photperiod they have always been on.

+1 on decreasing the photo period. I'd say you'll see increased coral health once they acclimate to the lighting....

+2 once as long as you acclimate everything slowly, there really isn't such a thing as to much light. The sun is many times more powerful than anything we could reproduce.
