I just finally added a DI stage to my RO system. This may not be a concern, but i though i should ask.

Originally my Auto shut off/float valve system was installed after my last carbon block etc. Now that i added a DI stage, i moved the shut off block after my DI stage etc. Then i look on BRS and they say in there auto shut off instructions that the shut off value should be before the DI stage. Is there any problems with how i have the valve setup presently. Should i move the block before DI, or does it really matter?

Not sure if its a problem but I've only seen them between the Membrane and D.I.

Are you talking about a float valve for tank top-off, or shut off valve to stop the supply from reaching the RO Unit itself?

Shut off Valve.

@Reefvilla

Part of it is between the Membrane and the DI. To shut off the water. But the other input/output (that provides the pressure feedback to the valve before the membrane) i placed after all stages.

I basically used these instructions http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/Installing-an-auto-shut-off-valve

Red line is the same. Blue line is the one i changed so the valve block is after the DI, not before.

I just wondering if back pressure effects the DI stage negatively as the system is working, but i dont want to ruin the DI stage somehow.

You'll be fine with that setup -

Awesome. Thought it should be fine, but ive never ran DI. Now if i can just remember to use Teflon tape; little leak when i got home. :)

Thanks for your help.
