Si, I've been cooking about 50lbs of rock outside in a brute for about 6 weeks now. Last week all readings at 0, did 1 more wc and going to let it run till next Wednesday when I'm off from work and have time to get it into the tank.

This week, temps here in Florida soared up into the 90's... so did my water temp in the brute.

How will this effect the process? I've been keeping it at 77F since I started.

Thanks,
/D

It may have killed off some of the bacteria, but you do not need to recycle the rock. Once you put the rock in the DT, add fish and corals very slowly as to not override the rock's ability to process waste.

Cool. It's going into an established tank, need to change up the left side a little.

Thanks,
