View Full Version : toastool leather in a 10g reef?????

hi guys i was wonderin if i could do a toadstool leather in a 10 g reef?
and if the size of the toaadstool would alter the survival rate?
the guy at my lfs said that if i got one it wouldnt do good especially wen it got bigger.
equipment=

1xmaxijet 600
1xaquaclear 50

Lighting=
1 nanocustoms evilc66 par 30 20000k


it has 10-12 lbs of lr

green star polyps
and red mushrroms

Yes you can put a leather in a 10g. Will it thrive? I don't know, I purchased my leather 5-6" across 1.5 years ago and now it is pushing 10". Try it out, if you notice a decline trade for something else.

Those get really big. If you do get it you'll end up having to frag it on occasion to keep it small.

I had this huge toadstool in my 20 gallon and it was fine. It got even bigger than this, almost touching the glass on all 4 sides, before I took down the tank.

wow thats amazing were u putting any additives in tha tank?

I did a 5 gallon water change about once a month, and that's about it. Lucky for me, toadstools and mushrooms didn't need perfect conditions. Parameters were always pretty good but I didn't drive myself crazy worrying about them.
