Hello all
didnt know where to ask this so thought it would be best here :)

so my LFS is selling Photosynthetic Gorgorians, do these require feeding as well ? how do you distinguish between the Photosynthetic ones and the none Photosynthetic Gorgorians ?

any other special requirements ? could they survive in a SPS reef tank ? high flow, low nutrition

I see there is no love here for the photosynthetic gorgs. I am not a "NPS Guy" so I can answer your questions without being ostracized ;)

They don't require feeding, but will benefit from it. Soaking your fishfood in phyto will have some indirect supplemental feeding effect for them (good for your fish as well). Strong flow and good light are important.

Generally the NPS corals have very colorful polyps, or sometimes white polyps, whereas the photosynthetic ones are usually some shade of brown due to the zooxanthellae.
