I have only 1 sps in my current setup, But I run my tank @ 79 in the day and 78 at night, My sun coral seems happy as can be ( Considering that 2-3 weeks ago he was in a pet store under MH lighting dying and not being fed ) His color is back and hes eating well. I also noticed 1 new little head growing off to the side.

I run my aquarium at 69-71° F. I've kept them in tanks ran much warmer, and certain species most definitely appreciate the cooler temps.

Which species? What where the effects?

For me 73-74, I would like to try to push it down to 70 though. I have seen positive results with non-photosynthetic gorgonians at this temperature as well as with crinoids.

Notably Dendrophyllia sp. and Rhizotrochus typus. They open much, much larger for me, especially the R. typus. I had one that would open to just over 5" across expand to 8" across when I dropped the temp - same tank and placemement in the tank. Nothing changed except temp.
