Hi all,
I bought a Sapphire aquatics skimmer for my JBJ 28 awhile back. It appears that they are out of business now, unfortunately. The pump that came with the skimmer is not working, and I need to replace it.
The pump itself has no markings to indicate what it is, but I believe it is a Sicce Nova pump. I cant find anyplace to buy a replacement.
I also tried a Rio600, attached with some very short tubing. The problem with this is that it is considerably taller than the stock pump, since with the stock pump, the tube from the skimmer goes inside the tube from the pump, whereas with the jbj they are the same size, so they need to be connected with a tube. This added height makes it unuseable in the JBJ, since it then sticks up too far and blocks the overflow.
So, can anyone suggest a solution? Either a way to get a replacement of the original pump, or another pump that will somehow fit better?
