View Full Version : Gorgonian ID please

Anybody know what genus, and possibly species this might be? The part visible in the photo is about 6-8" tall for reference. The branches are very fat, as big around as an average thumb, and the polyps are fairly small.

Thanks, Nanook. I have quite a few gorgs and this is one of my favorites. My wife says the shape reminds her of Cheetos... I had to remind her not to take a bite :)

If anyone has a suggestion I'm hoping for an ID. Even if you come across a photo of something similar looking feel free to post.

I don't think so. I have what I believe to be Briareum and it's very bushy, this one has pretty small and compact polyps. It's like comparing a shaggy dog to a shaved poodle.
