question about foam pad support

I'm setting up my first acrylic tank - a 120 gal in wall system. I noticed when the tank was placed in position (empty) there is a 1-2mm gap under the middle section. Will the 3/4 inch foam pad accomodate this and compress to evenly distribute the weight when filled?

Maybe, maybe not - wish I could say something more definitive. If necessary, I usually recommend 1/4" neoprene/buna with a durometer rating of 50 or lower. Available in most cities/large towns with a gasket supply house.

I'm not familiar with buna. I'll check around town & see if I can come up with some neoprene. Thanks for your reply.
