haha the money in my stand is from college graduation. its in the bank now

ive read alot of good about stealth heater...nothing really bad, ill probaly keep it.

do you guys thing a green mandrain would be ok in a 29 cube?

I looked at that pic of the money in the box, and thought it looked like Jason Bourne's aquarium. If there had been a handgun in there it would have been priceless.

Don't do the mandarin, won't survive in a tank that small.

Read again about the stealth, I concur with Celestin.

Tank looks great!

For fish i Plan:
Banggai Cardinal Fish
purple firefish OR Helfrich's Firefish
Snowflake clown ( probly semi-snowflake ) ( maybe semi Picasso )
Flame Angel? ( i plan for corals, it says it may nip.... but if it's fed often would it be ok, (im not talking over fed)

the underlined fish are the ones i would like to get

thanks

and 1:00->1:05

Edit:
i dont use it for a monlight like some people do......i dont keep it on all night.
i doha it on 45 mins before my main light comes on (mh), and after my main light goes out i do 1hr:15mins.
because where does the moonlight light up the ocean 12 hours a night? and a moonlight on all night will caue alge problems in a home aquarium.

Looks like you're off to a great start. The new rockscaping looks great, lots of space.

Like I said, it's no moonlight (for that size tank). It's too bright.

And yes, the moon does light up the ocean for 12 hours. Ha. For the most part at least and I really don't think an algae can grow at the wavelength a moonlight puts out.

your saying the clouds dont move in front of the moon? or sometimes the moon isnt competly covered all night?

lighting the ocean, and lighting coral reef is competly diffrent.HA. you watch that video again and when hes talking about linear lights at :23 you tell me what size tank that is.......looks like a biocube 29 maybe an aquapod...... either way its deffently a nano

but let me guess the pople advertiseing this product dont know what size tank they belong on........ or is that tank @ :23 like a 125 gallon?:spin2:

''450nm blue, and awesome lunar soultion'' ( @ 1:00 )

my point is that thats a nano in the video, and these stunner LEDS are made for any aquarium size.

( PS. might not look it in the pics but these LEDS look great on my biocube 29 hqi. @ 9inchs from the water surface and angled towards the back it deffently gives it a moonlight effect. )

cheers

Like I said, "for the most part" it is lighting up coral reefs and there are not many clouds in the area.

Point of the story is that the stunner strip looks ridiculous, should be hidden and is a lunar light for dusk and dawn (not a moonlight unless you have a much larger tank).

The tank in the video is a 34 gallon solana and holds a lot more water in the display than a BC29.

The end.

The tank in the video is a 34 gallon solana and holds a lot more water in the display than a BC29.[QUOTE]

either way a solana is still a nano reef. and a couple gallons is not much of a diffrence at all ( thats if it really is even bigger ).
Solana 37 display = 26.8 us gallons
biocube 29 display = 27.2 us gallons
found that online

[QUOTE]Point of the story is that the stunner strip looks ridiculous
thats an oppion and in person its black and barley noticeable mounted to the black HQI light. (P.S you kno what they say about oppions?) :lolspin:

(not a moonlight unless you have a much larger tank).
its only on 45 mins before the MH light comes on and after the MH light goes out its on for 1hr15mins. so its not really moonlight, jst immates sun rise and sun set...... plus you kind of said it was on on the solona 34? THATS A NANO

It's too bright.
wheres the chart that says something is to bright to be a moonlight 6watts in my oppion is not 'to bright' also not all the light goes into the tank.

so please before you try to convince people that your oppions are facts think about it first. last i checked its my tank and because you say its 'to bright' or 'stunner strip looks ridiculous'. i bellive seeing its my tank, i make the decionsions, and also untill you see the tank in person you probaly shouldnt make asumptions.

hey man you didnt ruin the thread. someone will enjoy the read :)

in all reality tho if your doing a biocube 29, try the stunner led. im not sure it will deffently work for you depends on the angle its mounted im sure. but if you dont like it you could always put it on a diffrent tank.......

Xgame2k

Idk. I already have the dawn/dusk and moonlight taken care of with a controller and 100% LED lighting over the tank.

But If I had the HQI I might try to hide the stunner underneath the front rim and face it towards the live rock.

MPevine11
06/02/2010, 09:53 PM
i tried it on the upper rim of the tank, buy at under 2 inchs the light is just 2 inchs. thats why i went with it mounted to the hqi light because its about 8.25 inchs from the water surface
