Hi there, iīm building a 264g tank (sump inc.)
I thought using the RO-RPS-5000EXT (fit for tank up to 390g)

But someone recomended the RO-RPS-8000EXT (fit for tank up to 1300g)

Isnīt this a little to much ? By the way ... thereīs a bit of $ difference between one and the other.
Any sugestions ?
Iīm traveling to China next week for 4 days, and i could bring it from there.
Thanks

LOL no way do you need a tripple BB pump skimmer on a 260. Whoever told you that has gone bananas. Go for the 5000.

consider the XP-3000. I just bought an XP-2000 for my tank and am very pleased.

I didn't notice the part where you say "sump inc" The sump really doesn't have anything to do with skimmer ratings.
A 3000 model would also work well.

I had the reef octopus 6, odd size pipe, no manuel, this skimmer has a terrible pump. There are better choices out there.

AHH! dont spend way too much money on a skimmer! the AQUA C-EV series is amazing and a pretty fair price, just find the size that would be best for your tank.
