if your trying to find a place to buy some lighting, the pet stores here can be very expensive. I would order one from Dr Fosters and Smith aquatics. Look for a nova T5 or something along those lines. I had very good luck with mine.

search the oddyssea system here on reef central, then check ebay... alot of people had problems early on but now they are a great bargain setup than can be upgraded with something as easy as replacing ballasts.

I have used the setup for almost 3 years now.

Thanks... I'm going to take a look
I have the standard 55 gallon.... So I guess I need to work out the size first..... Google is telling me 48"

Ok, Now I'm really confused.....
I have the standard 55 gallon that you can purchase on base at the BX, so it has the hood lights, Will the T5 fit in there?
ANY help is greatly appreciated!!!

No you have to buy a separate fixture if you want to go with T5's Full setup tanks usually come with T12 bulbs and they don't much of anything.

the hood that came with the 55gal is trash as far as salt water purposes go.

what base are you on? If you are near Kadena I can show you my setup.
