Hi Roger, just bought an Osmolator 3155. The sensors will be positioned in my sump but had a question... Is there any reason I can't use the big magnet holder (3155.600) that accepts both sensors to position them in the sump? Why does the manual suggest using two independent magnets, one for each sensor for a sump application?

Seems like one magnet would make for a cleaner install.

Thanks!

We suggest this because typically if the return pump is unplugged for cleaning the tank, the sump level will rise and result in an alarm. This allows you to space the sensors so the float is above the highest point the water level would rise to when the pump is unplugged. There is nothing wrong with installing them on the same sensor, you just would need to disconnect the osmolator when servicing the tank to avoid the alarm.

Makes perfect sense Roger. Thanks! :)
