hello i was thinking of buying a 80gal rimless tank... BUT before i do so, i already have an regular 75gal tank , can i convert it into an rimless one without having issue? what if i took the plastic edge off the top? would i lose support?

yeah that wont work. it will end up bowing out.

yeah rimless tanks have thicker glass.

I'm not positive but I think you can remove the plastic trim if you add a eurobrace instead. Looking around the DIY forum would probably be the best way to get some info on that.

rimless tanks will also have the edge treated, the more the tank the better the edge.
