Chemi Pure rinsing

I bought some Chemi Pure and rinsed it in RO as per the instructions but it's still turning the water black after several rinses. Is this normal?

Worried if I put it in the sump as it is, it will discolour the water.

I get that with any carbon. I finally gave up and just give it a quick rinse before I just plunk it. And guess what? Nothing happens :).

I have used chemi pure on my 400 gallon reef for years I stopped rinsing it years ago as well... No issues.
