What settings did you use, and what type of lens, that is an incredible shot. I have tried several times but the best I can get is,
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/robow/4657987474/" title="moon by robow1, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4067/4657987474_1607911773_b.jpg" width="631" height="480" alt="moon" /></a>
Got any tips?
Sorry for the Hi jack

Thanks guys! This was my second attempt at the moon. My first attempt did not go so well.(look below) I did learn from it, and I tweaked my settings. The specs on this shot go as follow:

-5.0 EV
ISO 200
f/6.3
1/400 shutter
low key was used

I used an Olympus E500 with ZD 70-300mm. My system does give me a 2x crop so I had an EFL of 140-600mm. Not bad for an underdog system if you ask me. Although I get a feeling some Canon boys here don't like me much? I'll stick to my CMAS forum. N E who... give these settings a try, let me know if you find better ones. :D

Nice shot Rhizo. I like the surface detail that is apparent.

As one of of "the Canon boys", your photos are welcome here. Just maybe not your hardware. :lol2: (kidding...)

Hey wait wait, I'm defiantly a Canon Boy but have NEVER put down Olympus. In fact, I have often held it on a pedestal urging others to give it an honest look. After all, the better Olympus does, the more innovative and less expensive gear I get!
