Ok guys real quick, need some opinions.
I am building a sump for a 40 breeder out of a 29 gal aga. Interior dimensions of this tank are 29 5/8" x 11 5/8" x 30 3/4" (lwh). I need to figure out how big my sections should be.
Real simple set up: skimmer section then 3 baffles then return section then one baffle then fuge.
The skimmer section is the part I need a little help on as I dont have the skimmer and sock holder that will be going in it yet, and I feel like doing the baffles tonight.
The skimmer is a swc cone 160 with a footprint of 9x7x20, and the sock holder has dimensions of 5 3/8 x 5 x 2 1/2. These are obviously both going in the skimmer section. So how big should this section be? Will 9.5" be enough space or do I need 10", 11"?
The other sections I can figure out after. The return will house the pump and a tunze osmolator. so the fuge size depends on the first two sections.
