I have been running straight LED's now for about a year, decided to spice it up a bit on the new tank. I'm got the idea from seeing the IceCap Reef Illumination fixture.

Here are the guts so far, will be powered by 3 MW 48D drivers, LED's are split 50/50 on CW and RB. T5's are the IceCap T5 Retro kit. Will be making the housing out of stainless steel, plan on running at least two fans, similar to the ATI PM.

Anyone see any issues with the build so far? Please feel free to critique it, would love to hear any opinions on ways to make it better. Thanks all!

Nice and neat! Were you not seeing growth with just the led setup you were running for a year? I'm interested in hearing from those that have run LEDs for a while. Not sure if you just wanted to tinker or if LEDs weren't cutting it.

Your fixture looks like a winner.

No I saw great growth with the LED's, just changing it up on this build:)

shikhyung, yes 12 LED's per driver, total width is around 20". My tank is 48x30.
