Ive had my Hawaiian FD for about 5 months in my 14G. I just got back from a 5 day cruise and the crown is off. I know that this doest mean that hes dead and that they do this from time to time or bc of lack of food. Ive had one of my friends look after my tanks while I was gone and he forgot to feed that tank for 2 of the days in a row so im pretty sure its bc of lack of food. But how do i know if hes dead or not? I know it takes a few weeks to grow back the new crown. Im scared to leave him in there not knowing if hes dead because its a small tank and I dont want him to decompose and poison the tank. What should i do?
