I'd bet that it's favia.

I just realized I posted in the wrong area. Its not a favia. See the white area the frag is glued to? That's the top of a 1" to 1.5" frag plug.

I was told this is a type of encrusting Goniopora. Better picture showing the polyps extended.

It's not a favia. It's an encrusting goniopora. The polyps were retracted at the time of the macro photo of the frag was taken.

It was identified on another forum where I posted a similar thread. I corrected you on the Id and also posted it so others with a similar coral would know as well.
