what is a normal consumption of alk

Ive been dosing 40 mL daily of alk and cal and decided to test my parameters to see if my consumption has gone up after adding more sps

using the calculator off brs its suggesting to dose 71 mL for cal but only about 35 mL for alk

my question is what is the normal range for alk to drop in a day? if i'm figuring this right, i drop about 2 a day, if thats the case should i dose morning and night to lessen the swing?

also, should i dose the same amount of cal because im dropping about 20 ppm a day which is 71 mL according to brs

2 dKH per day is very reasonable. There are lots of tanks in that range.

If the 2-part solutions were mixed up correctly, and water changes aren't throwing off the mix, then dosing equal amounts of both solutions is the right way to go. People doing water changes with high-calcium salt products often have to back off on the calcium some.
