I finally got my 30x30x18 tank up after having the tank sit in the garage for like 3 months. I am currently running 150W Sunpod from my old system and it is clearly not enough to cover my whole tank. I decided to upgrade my light to PFO single mogul w/2 actinics pendant. (it is big and heavy)

I was wondering anyone from this forum know how to weld together an adjustable light stand for my pendant. I want a single "L" shape light stand matches my deco of my modern house. Straight lines and very simple but strong.

forgot to show how the inside of my stand looks like.

The issue with the stand is that there is no middle back part you can attach the light stand to. The stand has on each side a 4 to 5in wooden panel which you can see in the pic. LMK if someone here has alot of experience in building light stands. Thanks.

In the past I have used a plant hanging bracket as a pendant hanger. It actually worked really well and did not appear unsightly.

I do alot of welding and I'm not sure I would try it. But if you find someone make sure you gut everything first.

I'm not sure if what you are looking for are legs to be welded to the pendant. If so I highly doubt that this could be done as I imagine the pendant is covered with very thin metal that would melt through. If it is thick enough you might be able to get someone with a tig welder to to tack somethin on. I would think stainless bolts would be easier and much cheaper to attach the legs. You could also hang it from an electrical condiut bent at 90* and attached to the wall behind the tank. I have seen some nice ones done in varoius threads here.
