Could a Maxijet 1200 be used as external

Hi, i'm looking for a cheap pump that I can use for recircultaion on a Calcium reactor

I wan't the pump to be cheap and low energy consuming.

I saw some have used maxijets, do they work ?

What other option do I have ?

Yes, they are used all the time on Kalk reactors. Well, the kalk reactor only runs the pump once in awhile, while the calcium reactor would have the pump running all the time, so I’m not sure how they perform running all the time externally.

I've got some older ones where they don't seal well between the two housing parts that twist together. I had one in particular on a bakpak that expelled bubbles at this joint. Something to keep in mind. I do like these pumps though.

I have used one on a kalk reactor and had no leaks for over six months, I went with a different dosing system. I also have one plumbed externally on a nano tank, it has been running for about 4 months with no leaks.
