Overflow With Teeth or No Teeth?

This weekend I will be beginning the construction of (2) acrylic rimless tanks.
My question is; What are the pros and cons of overflows with teeth cut into them vs no teeth?

My current tanks all have teeth cut into the overflows, but I think the appearance of the overflows will be much better on the rimless tanks without them.
