Search google or reefcentral for "mesh mod". You put this black mesh stuff on your needle wheel impeller, which can improve the quantity of bubbles produced.

i've read the watts can go to high and burn the pump up.. dont know if this is true, just what i've heard..
i would like to know if maybe i can put a bubble blaster on it or something like that?

A bunch of people swear by the bubble blaster pumps. However I'm not sure of the output of this pump, it may be something to look into

mesh mod doesnt increase wattage if done correctly and its easy to do.

been running mesh for 5 years on my oct250.

get #4 flatback enkamat for $5 at meshmod.cooom

you cut the all the needles of your current off the wheel except the bottom ones, you leave those so you can ziptie 2 lates of mesh.

on my oct0 3000 pump im pulling 35 scfh

you should do the o-ring mod [if needed] and enlargen the air holes, I used quick dissconnects and used 1/4" hard line for my air feed.

with all that said I did run across a site that had what looked to be bolt up blasters but for 5 bucks I like my output

How big of tank and what kind of stock do you have this skimmer on? I had mine on a 75G heavy stocked mixed reef tank and was extremely unhappy with it.

40 breeder, 20 g sump 2 maroons 2 fire fish 1 yellow wresse but i want to add some little fish as well and some sps..

I would think that the aquabee pumps would be great replacements for the OTP pumps. You can get them @ engagerc.com

I modeled my current skimmer based on what octos and some others had going on 3-4 years ago. It has done a great job for me, and I use the aquabees on it. I have had them mesh modded since day one, and have never replaced one single thing on them
