vertex in-180

I'm looking on this site at a used (I believe gen 2) vertex in-180. Would this be good enough for a 120 with almost a 40 gal sump?

it should be able to handle the load, but i would look into the super reef octopus line. Great skimmers for the money.

I use the in-180 on a 150 display with 50 gallon sump without any problem. Mixed reef. My advice, don't connect the air hose in the gray PVC. It pulls out more air without it.
