Has anyone kept a ponape birdnest under T5's? And what were he results?

I'm getting a tennis ball sized colony of it and I have a 4 bulb 48" T5 fixture over my 55 gal. If I place the ponape high will I have any trouble or do I not have enough lighting to keep it happy?

Be honest, if I can't keep it alive and happy I don't want to end up killing it.

Please let me know what you think and share any experience

I have a ponape in my 55 with VHO, it is high up as well. It is almost 2 years old in my tank and still alive. So you should be good with the T5. Slow grower under the weaker lights though

Slow growth is way better than dying since this will be my first sps ever. I just don't want to kill it. Bad enough the reefs take the beatings they do.

I have ponape birdsnest under a 6 bulb TEK fixture and it grows like a weed, but I think the growth of your birdsnest will be more dependant upon your Ca/ALK levels...I have a calcium reactor on my system
