The tape measure lied, dang plumbing issues

Supposed to be a nice easy job, had everything measured out so I could plumb the mangrove swamp in today. The dang tape measure lied to me.

I need another 1/4" to tighten up the bulkhead.... thereis a really good reason not to take a sawzall to the side of the house again.... right? not like it would be the first time...

I don't wanna drain it to move it 1/4" besides, I'm almost out of salt.

i have a leaking bulkhead since i built system. the stand doesn't have good access to the underside of the bulkhead (under the overflow). can't tighten it. i put a bowl to collect water there. it'll leak forever. hope you can figure out how not to do that.
