I imagine this has been asked a thousand times but here we go again. Would it be safe for me to switch from instant ocean regular to instant ocean reef crystals? i have lots of sps. and its absorbing all the calcium and stuff. my coraline algae is even disapearing. so i figured if i step to the reef crystals that should help everything. but i have heard its bad to switch. but i was thinking its made by the same people so i may be ok????

switch slowly is fine, like if you do 10% water change, just start using reef crystal on your next 10% water change.

Other than the difference in the major three water parameters, the big difference is that Reef Cystals has vitamins added to it, where IO does not.

i usually do 15 gallons. once a month or so. i still have a bag and a half of the regular and i thought about mixing them all together?

I wouldn't bother mixing them together, but it shouldn't hurt anything.
