I'm looking at a used ACjr on the forums here. It's not discontinued is it? A good entry level controller? I just can't swing an Apex right now and want a controller. Can more than one DC8 be put on this? Do all the black models have serial ports? Its about a year old.Thanks.

The ACjr is still shipping as the entry-level product in the AquaController family. Although a bit long in the tooth, it's still a great little unit. You can add a 2nd DC8, but will only be able to use 4 outlets on it because the ACjr has a limit of 12 timers.

BTW, if/when the time comes, you'll be able to use any DC8, DC4HD, etcc. with an Apex.

Thanks. I think for the asking price it will be perfect to get me going for a while. I always hear good things about them and appear to be super reliable. Now how do I learn how to program it?

I bought it with the ph probe. He has two, one still left with temp probe only if anyone is interested. I'm excited but where can I learn how to program it? Any good reading until it arrives? Links?

great. you can just download and read the manual from neptune website.
you may want to get a serial cable to hook it up to a computer and use my free program (http://sites.google.com/site/acserial2web).
