There is only so much I can do with a really cheap camera. Sorry...

I will be cutting the cables soon as I determine desired height. Any suggestions? I find that the 80 watt bulb still kinda heats up the water.

Thank you. It's been one week only and the corals are starting to color up even more than when I had the 400 watters! Growth on a couple is starting to take off as well.

This fixture is one high end furniture...Time to change the cheap corals.

i would go 5-8 inches off the surface of the water to allow heat to escape but provide enough light, but that just my $.02

I might just do that. There will be a lot of light spilling out though. I am also getting a lot of salt spray on the shield.

Suggested voltage on the fan is 7.5 on the 8 X 80. What happens if I crank it up to 12V? Will it affect performance? The one end of the tank wo the fans get quite warm. The end w the fans are cool to touch.

How do u adjust the height of the fixture to feed/work on the tank/etc?

Mike de Leon

The fixture can be raised or lowered. It's all adjustable. Besides, the light is now 8 inches off the surface so no need to adjust for me..

Beautiful Tank Mike. How's that Stealth working out for you and how far off the water do you keep it?

Thank you. Light is working great. Changing out bulbs as we speak to get to the color I like.
I lost a few corals due to too much light. The 80 watt bulbs are too powerful. Some corals are recovering and now growing pretty fast.
Love this fixture. I was able to choose a paint color to match my stand! Height is 6 inches off the water surface.

Check out the growth of this RP!

Very nice.. The custom color option is slick! My RP has done really well under t5s as well.. Now if I could just get my Garf Bonsai to color up like yours (I think that's a GB right of your RP..)

I have seen your tank, you have a nice one yourself. My tank is just starting to stabilize after many many issues. I almost gave up.
Anyway, not so sure what my purple coral is. It does look like a GB. I picked it up from my LFS. It's supposed to be from Aussie. Cheers!

Thanks Mike :) I'm glad you didn't throw in the towel. The hobby needs guys like yourself to share experiences. Yeah, getting the proper ID on a coral can be tough some time
