Haven't had one in many years, but IME, they are aggressive, even more so in smaller tanks.

What size tank?
What other fish do you have?

Depends on the fish. Mine is not

Mine (aptly named *****Face) is always picking on the clown. She even had a go at my emerald crab when I first put him in the tank, now every time she passes he gets his claws out ready to defend himself. She tried to have a go at my foxface too, but eventually gave up.

However, I do love her, she darts in and out of the rocks, eat all my flatworms and is generally very entertaining. She picks on the clown less than before so fingers crossed she gets bored with it eventually.

I have to say my sixline was very good with other fish, yes i did remove him due to the fact that they can get very nasty with other wrasses, there are plenty of other wrasses with great coloring you might want to go with them over the six line. what makes you want to get a six line?

I've had 2 and they never harassed other fish, but if your going to want multiple wrasses it may not be the best option. I really enjoyed mine when I had it though. They are a very entertaining fish.

I had one in a small tank. It did not bother any of the fish already in the tank. However, I could not add any new fish to the tank - the six line harrassed any new fish to the point of killing it. I did like the 6 line - ate all the bristle worms, very active and fun to watch.

Last week I pulled mine from the tank for chasing a firefish out of the tank.

Mine acts tough, but never bothers anyone. He just flairs up, and looks like he is going to do something. Of course, my clowns are gold Stripes, so he really does not stand a chance.

It really depends on the fish, and tank size.

I put mine in last and didnt have any problems in my tank. Definitely not a shy fish though.

I have one 6-line in a 29gal with 2x adult Occellaris,1x Midas Blenny, and a skunk cleaner shrimp. No problems at all. I added the 6-line after everything else however.. so territories were already well established.

It is very well behaved.. it pecks for pods all day and even on occasion pick parasites off the other fish. The Midas is most accepting.. the clowns don't like to be cleaned all that much.

However.. I keep my eye on it. It is still a juvenile, and may change behavior as an adult. My only real concern is for the shrimp. They can potentially go for large shrimp when they become adults.

I've lost over $200 dollars worth of shrimp and fish to my sixline.

Any questions?
