I've read somewhere that Xenia helps with Nitrate? Does anyone have any factual information on this? I have a huge island of Xenia in my tank and my nitrates have always been zero. Wondering if this is helping with that? Thanks

Bump! I would like to know that as well since I have a lot of xenia and my nitrates have been at zero too.

I have a crapton of Xenia on an island of rock as well. I don't think it had any major effect on nitrates. It's possible that they reduce nitrates to a small degree, but I wouldn't think they grow quickly enough to act as an export mechanism.
JMO, I'm by no means a scientist :)

Thanks, mine seem to grow at an incredible rate, I'm sure like most. Just wondering. I thought I read this somewhere maybe on a different site!
