I was wondeing how much sand I needed for a 29g biocube. Sould a 40lbs bag be enough

Depends on the sand depth you want. there is a calculator to figure it out some where around here. 40 sounds like it would be a little too much for me, but to each his own.

35 lbs is perfect IMO......so you would have 5 extra lbs

Personally I would just get a 40lb bag and how ever much makes it and inch goes in and the rest either give to a friend or make a DSB in the sump. I usually do gallons to lbs, so I would get the closest bag you can find to 29g if your not doing a DSB in a sump.
