Hey does anyone know y my water level in my main tank is about half an inch lower in the last week. I cleaned the return pump in vineagar. Reinstalled it and it is still low any ideas thx.

that would probably be evaporation.
How long has your tank been set up?

Ten years. But don't think it's evaporation,it is barely trickling over the return.

It is not evaporation you probably have something clogging your return line a snail maybe?

+1 if you are sure the pump is putting out the right amount of water (tested it after cleaning), you certainly have a clog in the return plumbing.

Is the level in the sump higher? If it is, and the pump is working at full capacity, the I would suspect a plugged return line. If the return is 10 years old, I would think that there is a significant buildup within the pipe work.
You might want to also check for snails - last week, I had a snail crawl into my return pipe (an open 3/4" pipe). Luckily I noticed it and managed to get it out before it went too far.
Do you have any valves on the return? Maybe one is blocked or somehow got partially closed off.

I can't see anything in the one return that is large enough for a snail to get. Draining it and watching it come back in I see no difference in pressure any other sugg. Thx
Can you confirm that the return pump works well without any plumbing connected to it (i.e. in a bucket)?
