I'm trying to understand this kit that expires Nov 2011. I get 28 drops for A and 6 drops from D. Subtract 8? from A = 20 x 50 is 1000. Does this sound right? Right now I'm dosing for ALK 6 to 9 over the nex few days I don't know if that will affect the reading. I'm not sure if I would ever by this kit again, real confusing.

No it's 28-6=22x50=1100ppm.

I used 8 because I seen it in the forum but couldn't figure what good D was. I now see the error of my ways.

Using the BRS calculator for 140g to go from 1100 to 1350 that's 38.9 oz of Magnesium Chloride over three days. Does anyone know if that sounds right too.

Yep, sounds right. I punched it in JDIECK's calculator and got the same results. It does take a lot of Mg to raise levels.
