MP 40 on acrylic tank ?

Hi guys. Quick question. I know the MP40's are said to be OK on 3/4" thick tanks. Knowing that acrylic is denser than glass, will these hold ok on an acrylic 3/4" thick tank?

Yes, my local fish store has them on his display which is 1" so for sure they will be ok on 3/4"

are u sure it will work on a 1" thick acrylic? I have a 1" thick acrylic and someone told me it wouldn't hold.

I can not see how it would work on a 1" tank. My current tank is 1" all around except for one wall which is 3/4" and that's where my Vortechs are placed.
