I have a 200 gallon sps tank that has been set up for several years. Some mushroom corals accidently got into the tank and took over a majority of the rocks over the years so about six months ago I did a tear down and replaced all the rock and removed the sand bed. About a month ago I started to get a white/gray substance on all the rocks. I can blow part of it off with a turkey baster but have to use a tooth brush to get the majority of it off. It continues to grow back. I thought it might be a bacteria of some type. Attached is a photo of a small section of rock near the front glass. Any ideas on what it might be and how to get rid of it. It is not growing on the corals at this time, just the rocks.
