Hi

I have a 20 High tank with Aquaclear 110 filter. I was wondering what kind of powerhead would fit best.

I currently have a Koralia 2 and a 3 from the old days. Which would fit best for a LPS tank. I try both it was way too powerful, With the 3 the clown seem to have lots of struggle with swimming in such a small tank. With the 2 the flow on the bottom doesn't seem to have enough.

I can't really spit out another 200 dollar for a MP10.

thanks

I would suggest the Tunze 6025. Much smaller than the hydor eggs and more manovarable. Your responce will be but it is only but its only 60 more gph from the koralia 2. The K2 is deff not even close to 600gph and yes the 6025 really is very close to the 660 output. lol..

I have two 20 gal AIO's, one is a tall and one is a long the tall has a Quite One 1200 at 290gal per hour. It has a loc line y at the tank return, mounted with a flare nozzle and a straight cone nozzle. It also has a nano powerhead (hydor). The show part of the tank is 16gal. I think the flow is alittle weak. Most would say that is plenty.
On the 20gal long I have a MJ 1200 that spits at the pump, on the other side of the bulkhead I split them again. One set at the bottom of the tank and the other at the top of the tank. I bought Two of the Hydor Nanos at 245gph and placed them at either end of the tank. I think this flow is much better. I plan to put the nano heads on a timmer so the will switch every 2 to 3 mins. Again the show part of the tank is 16 gal but much longer than the 20gal tall

Hey Jayzee,

don't go for a Tunze 6025 for your 20G.

I have one in mine and it's to much flow. Mine in down the aqua and pointing up and still stresses many LPS corals with the flow.

If you're going SPS then go for it.
