Hi. I have a Kole Tang, group of Longspine Cardinalfish, and a group of Carberryi Anthias. I'm having some aiptasia problems and was thinking about adding some true Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni). Will I have any problems with my fish and the shrimp? Thanks!

I'm 99% sure you'll be fine. What are you worried about having happen?

I had good luck using a pep for aptasia but it will steal food from your lps if you have any. In a small tank, it could be a bit of a pita. Also have been reported to munch various polyps. I never noticed that with mine. Also, super freakin' fast. Very difficult to catch if you decide to remove. If you get two you'll likely get eggs which is a nice little extra food source for your fish.

Good luck.

I'm worried that either the Kole Tang or Cardinalfish might eat/harass the shrimp.

I think the shrimp should be safe. The only maybe in my mind are the Anthias and only because I have no experience with them. I believe they mostly eat plankton though which makes them eating a Pep unlikely. you should be fine adding the shrimp.

you'll be fine. also, peps are pretty cheap if one does become a meal.
