are these acans dead?

i left for the weekend only to come back to see 3 acan frags that were healthy before i left now skelotons,also come to find out other corals werent looking so hot so immediatly check chems and amm is at .25maybe a little higher and nitrates at aound 10. params were all normal before i left has i checked and did my weekly water change.i guess my question is is this frag dead or just dying,leave it in the tank or toss it.here are a few picshttp://www.reefcentral.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=428&pictureid=17921

Get the parameters to 0.

They're not dead, just super stressed. TLC will bring them back.

ok but im still lost about the ammonia and nitrates why are those levels up?the other 2 frags were white skeletons could that be the source and this frag is the lone survivor?

hmm i checked the temp when i got home it was 81 and now that u mention that what was the weather like for the past 3 days?real hot if so i didnt have the ac set due to me being out of state so the tank could very well of gotten well above 81 wow thats frustrating to think that that could be the source of the problem.

With no AC in your home, I would bet that the tank temp hit 90 in the past few days.

i ran no heater in my tank today and it hit 86-87 today.
i would say heat as well. they look like they are receding but i lost mine and they did the same thing. my tank would get real warm somedays

yea with the heater off and my A/C on all day my tank is still at 79-80..thats with the a/c and no heater soo I can only guess what the tank got too.....

...I saw 84 on one of the hot days....I hurried around and am borrowing a chiller until mine comes in...I didn't loose anything, but am now going through a really really bad red slime bloom (the tank is covered over night).

Good luck and freeze some RODI water.

i am noticing some red algea also little patches kinda hmm i guess i shoylda left the ac set to a certain temp i didnt even think of it.
