OT - Electric Rates

For those of you that use Viridian (http://www.viridian.com/) as you electric supplier, note that they just went up on their rates. They are now 9.99 cents. If you were using them because they get 20% of their electricity from renewable resources, you are better off using another supplier and buying the clean energy option.

Good info, Jeff -- Thanks! I had originally switched to them for the price as well as the renewable mix.

There was one month that they were pretty high, and they seemed to settle back down after that. i hadn't been tracking the prices lately -- i just submitted a request to Dominion.

btw, do you know if there is a site that tracks the pricing of the alternative suppliers over time - to see which supplier is providing a consistently good variable rate?
