This carbon will work. I see no references to the type of GAC it actually is, so can make no comments. Some GAC is of a better quality and will asorb more then others and will last longer.

FWIW, I buy my GAC from www.bulkreefsupply.com. I buy the HC GAC, which is the better grade (high compacity). The HC is also purer, meaning it has less comtaminates in it. The cheaper GAC will work though, but you will need to use more. Perhaps more of the cheap GAC works out cheaper in the long run, due to the higher costs of the HC gac. ;)

Thanks Tom. HC is their brand of GFO. I mixed GFO with GAC. I use the ROX 8 GAC.
Brain dead at times. :D

It's likely a bitumous coal carbon which is better than coconut shell. It's ok to use but not the best.

i buy my carbon from an ebay store. its cheap and works.

Hey Cliff, I'm happy to help. Heck I'm happy when my brain works at all. I use the HC gfo too.
